Micro Insurance is the protection of low-income people against specific perils in exchange of regular premium payment proportionate to the likelihood and cost of the risks involved. In Nepal following micro- insurance are available:

• Micro Household Insurance
• Micro Personal Insurance

Lumbini General Insurance Company Ltd. issued first Micro Insurance Policy on 12th September, 2013.
